The vent measures 17 inches high by 13 inches wide by 2.8 inches deep and is manufactured from durable 16-gauge steel. Its integrated pest screen contains 1,290 quarter-inch holes, providing a total air passage area of approximately 63.3 square inches.

That gives the #6068 LV approximately 4.5 times the air passage area of the #6067 INSTA Vent, making it an excellent choice for applications requiring high-volume air transfer. 

Eleven Louvres Help Keep Rain Out

Airflow is important, but a container vent also needs to help protect the interior from the elements.

The #6068 LV features eleven low-profile louvres designed to shed rain while still allowing air to pass through the vent. This makes the product well suited to outdoor containers exposed to changing weather conditions.

A full 1.5-inch mounting flange wraps around the entire vent, including the top and bottom. This provides a complete mounting surface around the opening so the vent can be properly sealed during installation. 

Integrated Pest Protection

Every #6068 LV INSTA Louvered Vent includes an integrated pest screen. The screen’s quarter-inch openings allow high-volume airflow while helping prevent larger pests and debris from entering through the vent.

For customers who require additional protection from smaller insects, the vent can also be ordered with the #6069 LV Bug Screen.

Add the #6069 LV Bug Screen for Insect Protection

The optional #6069 LV Bug Screen is designed specifically for the rear of the #6068 LV INSTA Louvered Vent. It helps keep flies, mosquitoes and other insects from entering the container while allowing air to continue moving through the vent.

Installation is simple: the screen mounts to the rear of the vent using two self-tapping screws. This makes it easy to add insect protection during the original vent installation or as a later upgrade. 

The bug screen may be especially useful for containers used as:

No Welding or Painting Required

The vent includes eight quarter-inch mounting holes and can typically be installed in less than 30 minutes by someone with suitable tools and detailed installation instructions which are included when you purchase our vent. Mounting hardware is also available.
